We currently have an immediate opening for an experienced pediatric Advanced Practice Nurse for our Long-Term Care unit. You will manage health problems and coordinate health care for children, provide staff and patient education, and work collaboratively with other members of the medical staff to provide care to patients. 

Responsibilities include:

  • Developing and implementing a Joint Protocol specific to clinical practice.
  • Ensuring the development and implementation of Patient and Family Centered Care practices.
  • Initiating, directing and leading team(s) to meet comprehensive medical patient care needs utilizing quality and cost-effective methods.
  • Assisting in identifying and resolving ethical problems of individuals or systems.
  • Communicating and incorporating relevant research findings into practice, education and consultation.
  • Motivating staff to improve their performance, continuously, leading to improved department performance.
  • Coordinating the development and implementation of policies and procedures that guide and support the provision of services to meet customer expectations. 

To qualify, you must have a current NJ RN License, MSN, APN Certification, and at least 3 years of pediatric nursing experience. The ability to maintain credentials and demonstrated understanding of diagnosis; pertinent medical findings; rationale/goals of treatment; and medical interventions for patients through practice and written documentation, will be expected. Superior oral/written communication, presentation, organizational and leadership skills required. Experience working with infants, children and young adults with developmental and/or behavioral issues highly desired.
